Contract Services and Collaboration

The University of Turku offers contract services and collaboration for companies and communities.

An easy way to make use of the university’s potential and to get to know future experts is contracting our students to carry out projects and reports as a thesis, for example.

Some of our contract services are readily available professional service packages that are offered especially by units that are specialised in research services. These include Centre for Collaborative Research (CCR) at Turku School of Economics, which carries out economic impact analysis and different kinds of development projects, and the Work Informatics unit which offers IT contract services for companies and is also an international Master’s Degree Programme at the Department of Information Technology.

The University of Turku is a multidisciplinary science community where we have expertise in humanities, business economics as well as in natural and medical sciences.

The Faculty of Education provides contract services related to education. The topic can be, for example, learning – problems related to it, the benefits of technology or the evaluation and development of education.

The University of Turku has many service units that offer diagnostic research services, such as the Clinical Research Services Turku (CRST). The Department of Medical Biochemistry and Genetics provides laboratory services for chromosome and DNA testing.

Units that offer contract services in natural sciences include Laboratory of Industrial Physics, which designs and develops analysis methods and equipment for industrial research and development needs, and Centre of Evolutionary Applications, which does DNA sequence and fragment analysis.

Furthermore, companies can look for a research partner through the Higher Education Institution Partner online service. Through the service, you can also find other regional or national higher education institutions in addition to the University of Turku. You can make a research service contract directly with the departments and units and have the research tailored to meet your specific needs by negotiating about the execution.
