Doctoral programmes
Via the doctoral programmes the University of Turku Graduate School (figure) covers all the disciplines of the University. Doctoral programmes can be local or they can form national or international networks. The majority of the doctoral programmes' funding comes from the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Academy of Finland, and the University of Turku.
In 2012, the University of Turku coordinates 15 doctoral programmes funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture, and the Academy of Finland. In addition to these, the University is a partner of various doctoral network programmes funded by the Ministry and the Academy, and coordinated by other Finnish universities. Furthermore, there are faculty-specific doctoral programmes at the University of Turku.
