The University of Turku as the Coordinator is responsible of the insurance (health, travel, accident) for the whole grant period. The Coordiantor will issue the insurance automatically to all grantees. The insurance will be issued based on the dates stated on Annex I of the Grant Decision.

Please remember to notify the Coordinator if any corrections are needed to your information in the insurance certificate or if your mobility dates change.

NB! Conditionally awarded grantees will be issued and insurance once the conditions of the grant have been fulfilled and the Coordinator has confirmed the grant.

The insurance certificate will be sent to the grantee by email in PDF format by the insurance company MARSH. The PDF-file serves as an original and the insurance certificate is therefore sent only by e-mail, not by post.

For visa application purposes before getting the insurance by the coordinator, you can also refer to the Grant Letter where it is stated that the grant covers the health, travel and accident insurance for the grantee for the whole duration of the grant period.

In some cases however national legislations may require also an additional insurance to be issued for the grantee. If an additional insurance is required, the grantees are asked to contact the Coordinator immediately for further instructions.
