Abstract submission and Registration

Abstract submission

You can offer your presentation to be considered for a talk (in one of the 10 sessions of pre-selected symposia or the 20 open sessions of oral presentations) and/or as a poster. Any registered participant in the conference can present maximally one study (one presentation or one poster per participant). If more than one abstract is submitted listing the same presenting author, we will consider the abstract for the presentation submitted first.

You can access the abstract submission system by following the link below. Note that abstract submission is not a registration to the conference, which is to be done in a separate system (opens 1 March). Abstracts of registered participants will be published in a PDF document on the conference web site after conference registration closes.

Note that you first need to register as a user before you can submit your abstract. When submitting your abstract, you should be prepared to provide the following information in addition to your personal information:

  •     The abstract with a maximum of 250 words
  •     The names and affiliations of all authors of the presentation
  •     A short synopsis of 132 characters including your surname. This will together with the hashtag "#EOU2017" be tweeted at the time your presentation starts. Please note that this is not compulsory.
  •     Submitted abstracts will be assessed by the scientific programme committee, except for plenary and invited symposia speakers. You therefore need to specify whether you want your abstract to be considered for a poster if your abstract is not selected for an oral presentation, or whether your abstract is to be considered only for an oral or poster presentation
  •     To facilitate abstract selection, you should indicate the symposium to which your presentation could belong to, as well as a general subject category

Upon completion of abstract submission, the system will send you a confirmation E-mail including the reference number of your submission. Please keep this confirmation as you will need to provide the abstract submission reference number when registering for the conference. One registered participant can present at most one study and the abstract submission reference number will be used to link your abstract to your registration.

For making changes to your abstract submission, you can log into the abstract submission system again also after your abstract has been submitted (until abstract submission closes 28 February 2017).

You can submit your abstract here

Abstract submission closes 28 February 2017

Registration submission will open on 1 March 2017

Registration fee

The registration fee is not yet known because it depends on pending funding decisions. The fee will be announced when the registration begins 1.3.2017. We estimate that the standard congress fee will be at maximum 350 euros. This fee includes lunches and coffee breaks during the conference, the conference dinner and the mid-congress excursion. There will also be a reduced fee for a fixed number of students and participants from low-income countries.
