The Seventh Nordic Conference on Mathematics Education, NORMA 14 will take place in Turku (Åbo), Finland ( 3-6 June 2014. The theme for the conference is "Nordic research in mathematics education".

 The conference is hosted by the Department of Teacher Education at the University of Turku and organised in collaboration with NoRME- the Nordic Society for Research in Mathematics Education. NoRME  is open for membership from national societies for research in mathematics education in the Nordic and Baltic countries.

 The conference will give Nordic and Baltic researchers in mathematics education opportunities to introduce their research by regular papers, short communications, working groups and symposia. The conference is a forum for the discussions and constructive meetings of researchers, teachers, teacher educators, graduate students and others interested in research on mathematics education in the Nordic context. The proceedings of the conference will be published electronically.

The official language of the conference is English.

 Call for papers:

 The organizers of Norma 14 invite Mathematics education researchers in Nordic countries and elsewhere to present their research in the The Seventh Nordic Conference on Mathematics Education. NORMA contributions must be about research (empirical, theoretical, or developmental). Those who wish to submit a paper must send their submissions through the conference website: Detailed guidelines for manuscript preparation and  paper submission as well as more information on the review process are also available at the conference website.

 Important dates and deadlines:

Deadline for submission

-       a regular paper January 20, 2014

-       a symposium proposal January 20, 2014

-       a working group January 31, 2014

-       short communications January 31, 2014.

Notification of acceptance

-       regular papers and symposium proposals by March 15, 2014

-       working groups and short communications by March 1, 2014.

Deadline for registration

-       April 31, 2014 with the normal fee 350 €, and after that  400 €.

Deadline for submission of the final version of a paper  for the conference proceedings is July 15, 2014.

Social program:

-      cruise to the archipelago by a steamship or Turku sightseeing tour

-       conference banquet
