Who has the right to occupational health care services

The right to occupational health care services is reserved for those who are in an employment relationship with the University of Turku and has regular working hours of at least 14 hours per week .

Health care is also available:

  • during annual holidays (e.g. summer holiday)
  • during paid leave of absences
  • during unpaid leave of absence or during a personal leave when the employee is paid certain special, maternal, paternal or parental benefits
  • for those receiving part-time pension or remedial support on the basis of the State Pensions Act
  • for those receiving part-time supplements based on The Employment Decree

Who does not have the right to occupational health care services

Occupational health care is not available:

  • during times other than the aforementioned unpaid leave of absences (e.g. childcare leave, sabbatical leave)
  • to those working and receiving a grant
