EXPERTS opportunities at the University of Turku (UTU)

As one of the EU partners in the Erasmus Mundus Action 2 project EXPERTS II (Exchange by Promoting Quality Education, Research and Training in South & South-East Asia), the University of Turku welcomes applicants from thirtheen Asian partner universities as well as Target Group 2 applicants from any of the ten eligble countries in Asia.

Special notes

1) The EXPERTS application is only for the EXPERTS grant. It does not guarantee a study right for degree studies at University of Turku (UTU). Both Master Degree and Doctoral degree students must submit a separate application for the right to study at the University of Turku. The deadlines for Master's degree programmes taught in English are in January - April 2012 depending on the programme and for doctoral studies the deadlines vary depending on the faculty. More information about the application process is available on the University's How to apply website. Mobility has to start before December 31, 2012.

2) All applicants to Turku must fill in the Language Assessment Sheet , further instructions are given in the form. Unless an applicant has a valid result from an international language test e.g. IELTS or TOEFL.

3) Undergraduate and Master level exchange students are expected to fill in a Learning Agreement (a study plan)

4) Doctoral students in the current EXPERTS application round are mainly accepted to start their studies in the Autumn Semester 2012. The selection of grantees is made in March 2012 at earliest. In addition, formalities such as the visa application procedure will take approximately two-three months.

5) Staff visits are more flexible in timing and they can start anytime before the project ends.

6) Your application will not be processed, unless you have completed the application form and submitted all the required enclosures.

 

Available fields and study periods at the University of Turku under the EXPERTS II project

The mobility activities financed by EXPERTS are connected to specific fields which are of major interest and needs for the Asian Countries and Universities: Agricultural Sciences, Natural Sciences and Social Sciences. The fields of study offered at the University of Turku for incoming EXPERTS grantees are listed in the Table below.

 Please, note that degree studies are available in English only in certain fields (x in Table below). Exchange studies are normally possible at all levels (U = undergraduate, M = master, D = doctoral).
