Application Form and Enclosures

All exchange students should

  1. fill in the Electronic Application Form (link open during the application period).
    Expect Double Degree students (GITM, IMMIT, ITEM, LLEES Regensburg) - you don't need to apply.

  3. include a Transcript of Records (official, in English) and a Certificate of Language Skills in the Electronic Application Form.

Learning Agreement (the courses you wish to take during the exchange period) is part of the Application Form. Please check  instructions before filling in the application form! 

Required Enclosures for Exchange Student Applications 

NB! These are submitted together with the online application and they must be in English. 

  • Transcript of Records (an official list of courses taken at home university)


  •  Certificate of Language Skills: Language Assessment Sheet or other official proof of your language skills (e.g. a valid TOEFL/IELTS test result). Please note that you should assess your skills in the language you are going to study in (English and/or Finnish). University of Turku requires a B2 level​ in English.


  • paper based: minimum score 575
  • internet based: minimum score 92

IELTS: minimum score 6,5

PTE Academic minimum requirement 62 points

Native speakers of English needn't submit a language certificate.

NB! The Certificate of Language Skills should not be more than 2 years old at the time you are submitting it.

  • Please also check that your coordinator has sent a nomination / official letter of confirmation to the University of Turku stating that you are an exchange student nominated by your university.

It takes a minimum of 3 weeks to process the application.

All complete applications for the Autumn Semester will be processed in May-June and students will be informed in mid-July at the latest. (Applicants should note that summer holidays in Finland are during the months of July and August. Therefore, it is very important that all enclosures arrive before the deadline.)

Applications for the Spring Semester will be processed during November.
