Master's Degree Students

Student Village Foundation of Turku (TYS)
offers affordable housing for students in several locations in Turku.

After submitting the housing application remember to check your email regularly. TYS will send you the housing offer by email. When you get the offer, make sure you accept it in time! If you don't, your application will be put to the end of line and your chances of getting a place to stay diminish.

TYS offers mostly unfurnished apartments, so please be prepared to buy the necessary furniture and other items yourself.

Application is done online and the application form can be filled three (3) months before the lease would start.
  • Note that the lease always starts on the first weekday of the month, not on a Saturday or Sunday.
  • You need to have your certificate of admission before you can apply for accommodation.

Deposit equals to approximately one month's rent. Provided that the flat is in good condition, the deposit will be refunded to you after you have moved out.

Rent includes electricity, water and Internet access. The amount of rent varies according to the type of accommodation.

Keys for your room are available from the Office of the Student Village Foundation only during their office hours from Monday to Friday.
