Scholarships 2012
In general, there are no scholarships available for the Summer School students. However, for the enrolled or now applying Master's Degree students of the University of Turku there are some special arrangements:
If you are enrolled as a degree student at the University of Turku and would like to participate in the Summer School in August you might be eligible for a tuition waiver. Please contact the Coordinator of the Summer School. (summerschool@utu.fi)
If you are going to apply in the spring 2012 for the Master's Degree Studies at the University of Turku you might be eligible for a tuition waiver after you have accepted the study place and registered as an attending student at the University of Turku. By sharing the proof of registration all the other payments except the Registration fee (100 EUR) and accommodation costs will be reimbursed. Cancellation Policy
Places will not be held for applicants whose fees are not paid in full by the due date. In no circumstances will students be admitted to the programme unless all fees have been paid in full. Also the accommodation chosen in the module will be cancelled if the fees are not paid full by due date.
The following cancellation policy applies in all cases:
- all cancellations received prior to 29 June 2012
University of Turku retains the Registration fee; other fees will be refunded - all cancellations received after 29 June 2012 - no refund
The Registration fee is part of the overall programme fee.
Participants will be invoiced once their application has been processed, student selection has been completed and students have confirmed their course choices.
Part of the social programme is included in the course fee. The participants are responsible for their travel expenses as well as accommodation (if not chosen the accommodation in a module), insurance and living costs while in Turku e.g. meals are not included (few exceptions e.g. orientation day and farewell dinner).
Please notice that if you do not choose a module with an organized accommodation you will need to find accommodation by yourself. However, we are prepared to help you in a certain extent.
