Change of name and address
Changes of name or address must be reported to the university as quickly as possible. You must also give changes of your home municipality or nationality. Because of reasons concerning your studies, the university must always be kept up to date with your most current information.
Besides Student and Admission Services, the faculties, departments and subjects as well as the Student Union of the University of Turku use the information in the study register. Also, names and contact information are transferred to the University of Turku library database.
If you have a valid and current university user ID, you can easily make address changes in nettiopsu. Log in to nettinpsu and click on Personal Data. Fill out your current information and click Update. You can also choose whether or not to allow the permission to use you information for non-commercial purposes.
Name or nationality changes must be reported directly to Student and Admission Services by, e.g. e-mail at reg-old[a]lists.utu.fi.
Your information is not taken from the population register
The University of Turku does not get the personal information of its students from the national population register system. The university only gets the information from what the student gives him/herself.
