In Turku you can go almost anywhere by bike. Most of the bicycle shops sell second hand bikes as well as new ones.  As a bike rider in Finland you should:
  • Have a light installed on your bike, you can get fined by the police if you violate the rule of having a light on your bike when it is dark
  • Have reflectors when it is dark
  • Use cycling paths when possible
  • Wear a helmet!
  • Get a proper lock for your bike
On 1.5.2018 Föli introduced a new city bike-share system. Just pick a Föli bike from the nearest bike stations, use it for up to 30 minutes and return it to any of the city bike stations! City bike-share system is included in Föli season ticket, but you can also use the bikes without Föli travel card. More information about the pricing and the service at Föli - Citybikes.

If you want to hire a bike you can do so by contacting the Turku Touring’s Tourist Information in Aurakatu 2. The bikes are usually for rent during summer period. See more: Bike Hire.
