Manual setup for Mac OS

  • Click the Network Connections icon next to the clock and you see the available wireless connections.
  • If eduroam is available click it for next step.


  • Write your UTU account followed by to the Username field. In other words,
  • Write your UTU password in the Password field.
(If you don't know your UTU account or password, you can check your personal information using bank cretentials from this site:
  • Check that Mode field is in Automatic mode.
  • Check that Remember this network is chosen.
  • Continue clicking Join. You will see Verify Certificate windows.


  • Press the button Show Certificate. You will see the Verify Certificate. This will show you information about certificate.


  • Control Eduroam's safe mode: servers' certificate must be DigiCert SHA2 High Assurace Sever CA
  • On the first part server's certificate window, you also have to see or Both are safe sources.
  • Click Continue.


  • Once you have created your eduroam settings, your Mac OS will ask you to confirm those inserting your local account and password. Note: in this case, you will not use UTU account, but your local computer's account.
  • Fill Username and Password fields and press Update Settings.
Now you can check that you have been successfully connected to the wireless eduroam network!
