Manual setup for Linux
  • Left click the Network Connections icon next to the clock and you see the available wireless connections.


  • If eduroam is available, click it for next step. A new window opens.

 
 

  • In Wireless Security menu, select "WPA & WPA2 Enterprise".
  • In Authentication menu, select "Protected EAP (PEAP)"
  • Anonymous identity and CA certificate fields are left empty.
  • Check that "Automatic" is chosen in the PEAP version menu
  • In Inner authentication menu, select MSCHAPv2.
  • Write your UTU account followed by @utu.fi to the Username filed. In other words, account@utu.fi
  • Write your UTU password in the Password field.
(If you do not know your username or your password, you can check your personal information using bank credentials from this site: https://idm.utu.fi)
  • Click Connect and a window will open.

 

  • The window remembers that the validity of the authentication system cannot be proven. Skip the window by pressing Ignore and the connection will be made.

 
 

  • Now you can check that you have been successfully connected to the wireless eduroam network!
