Faculty of Law

The Faculty of Law of the University of Turku is a modern research and education community. Generating new information through research and educating new professionals are the faculty’s top priorities.

Calonia, the faculty building, houses a tight academic community where the interaction between students and teachers is simple and casual.

The faculty conducts quality education and research which cover a wide academic range. Additionally, the teachers and researchers of the faculty participate actively in public discussion. The partners and the alumni of the faculty play a important role in developing its activities.

- Our task is to actively and critically observe phenomena and decision-making in society from a legal point of view, the dean of the faculty Jukka Mähönen tells.
