Graduation ceremony
Graduation ceremony (in Finnish publiikki) is traditionally held in the Old Academy House.

A festive graduation ceremony (publiikki in Finnish) is organised twice during the academic year for graduating students. The ceremony is held in Finnish language.

A student participating in the graduation ceremony has to make sure that all the required studies (including an accepted Bachelor's thesis, Master's thesis and maturity examination) are ready two weeks before the ceremony at latest. Students who have received their diploma degree prior to the graduation ceremony may also participate in the ceremony.

In addition to graduating students and already graduated students, family members and acquaintances (maximum of three companions) are welcome to attend the ceremony. The graduating and graduated students will receive a separate invitation to the graduation ceremony. A student can register for the graduation ceremony after having received the invitation by following the instruction given in the invitation.
