Theme:  Libraries facing the future

Finland Future Research Center, the only academic future research center in Europe, is one of the institutions at the Turku School of Economics.

Together with experts and facilitators from FFRC we will explore and discuss future trends which affect as well the economic environment as ways to do research and study. What is the role and task of business school libraries in future of digital research and teaching environments? What kind of professional knowledge and abilities will be needed? How does university teaching in information science answer to the changing needs?

After two keynote lectures we will be instructed in methods for compiling future maps and we will finally draw our own maps.  Facilitators take part in group work and gather our findings and ideas. We hope that in the end the participants will have learned some tricks for getting a glimpse into the crystal ball.
