Precision Medicine in Anaesthesiology:

​Description of research

This project consists of three working packages exploring the pharmacokinetics and – dynamics in neonates, young children and adults. Clinical records and concentration data are used to build up pharmacokinetic pharmacodynamic (PK-PD) models for drugs used in anesthesiology and pain therapy to describe the dose concentration-effect relationship. Pharmacometric models are further refined using previously published information, genomic and proteometric profiling and simulations. Finally, clinically relevant subgroups are recognised to predict adequate dosing regimens for different patient populations using clinical trial simulations.
