Empowering learning environments in nursing education Intensive Programme - Elene IP (10 ECTS)

Mini intensive course: 26.-30.11.2018 at the Department of Nursing Science, University of Turku.

First info lecture will be held on 11th September 2018. Pre seminars will be held on the 13th and 20st November 2018. International students were able to participate these seminars via internet (Adobe Connect Pro). 

Summary of the course
The aims are to bring together university students in different countries to ensure high quality nurse educator education related to evidence-based teaching and outcomes concerning social media as a learning environment in nursing education in multicultural European context.

The learning objectives are:
  1. to deepen understanding of new learning environments of social media
  2. to learn to use co-operative teaching and learning methods in nursing education.

The target group is 25 Master or PhD level students
The selection of students:  The students participating to the course should be interested and keen on the subject. The bachelor qualification of health care is required. The students should have sufficient English language skills.

Main activities are

  1. co-operative teaching and learning methods and lectures
  2. social media and simulation exercises

The expected learning outcomes of the EleneIP course are the competences of new e-learning environments especially of social media.
