Chemistry offers solutions for targeted drugs, climate change and efficient capture of solar energy
The fast development of technology and super computers has enabled testing and comparison of new theories with experimental results. At the same time chemistry theories evolve hand in hand with the latest research of both physics and molecular biology.
Research in our department is focused on two different branches of chemistry and therefore research activities are divided between two laboratories: (1) the Laboratory of Materials mccaChemistry and Chemical Analysis, and (2) the Laboratory of Organic Chemistry and Chemical Biology.
The major research topics cover the traditional sub-disciplines from inorganic and analytical chemistry to organic and physical chemistry.
  • Bio-organic and bioinorganic chemistry
  • New materials research
  • Natural compound chemistry
