Centre for Parliamentary Studies

The Centre’s most significant research projects have been the History of the Finnish Parliament (2002–2007), the History of the Theatralization of Politics (2009–2012) funded by the Academy of Finland, and the History of Finnish Post-War Political Campaigning (2014–2017) funded by Emil Aaltonen Foundation. Ever since the 2004 European Parliament elections the elections have been one of the focal points of the Centre’s research as has been the publicity of the electoral campaigns.
