Selection criteria

Students are chosen to the preparatory year of the IB Line on the basis of their comprehensive school final report combined with the results of the written entrance examination. Both of these affect the final decision equally. 

The entrance exam consists of a Mathematics and an English test.  The exams are based on the Finnish syllabus of junior highschool/comprehensive school.

This exam will be held  in Turun Normaalikoulu. All the students who applied for the IB-line through the joint application system are requested to show up to the entrance examination without a special invitation.

Application for the second and third grade of the IB Line: student can also apply directly to the second and third grade of the IB Line. Students are selected to the second and third year of the IB Line on the basis of their school reports, a test and an interview. Please contact the school if you have any further questions about the test and the interview.

Those interested in starting the IB Diploma Programme can visit the school. Before this session you may get to know the school premises with a guide.
