​The Pan-European Institute organises different events during the academic year. In 2017 the institute celebrated its 30th anniversary by organising a high-level seminar "Russian Enigma - Decoding mysteries and turning them into business opportunities" at the Turku School of Economics.

​In the beginning of the autumn term 2014–​2015 PEI filled one of the largest auditoriums of Turku School of Economics with guests interested in taking part in a discussion on Russia and the future path of its economic policy in the Gaidar Readings conference.​ Spring 2014 brought together representatives of Finnish and Belarusian companies, when the Pan-European Institute hosted the IV Finland–Belarus Business Forum.

In 2013 the Pan-European Institute continued its series of lectures about the emerging trends in the Baltic Sea region under the theme "Future of the Baltic Sea region"In 2012 PEI had its 25th Anniversary Seminar and organised a lecture series called "Emerging trends in the Baltic Sea region". The seminar gathered together policy-makers, corporate decision-makers and representatives of the Academia of over 10 different countries.
