Producing Situated Learning

Introduction

  • In the situated learning authentic environments are connected to social interaction and collaboration of different people.
  • Teachers utilize the local community as educational resource.
  • The situated learning pedagogy is connected to art-based education.

Objectives

  • Promote the participation and dialog between children, school and society
  • Develop the cultural and social sensitivity in education
  • Recognize the local surroundings as an open learning environment (institutes, organizations, clubs, families, elderly people; cultural heritage, nature)
  • Develop media- and mobile technology methods
  • Implement the holistic approach to education
