RETHINKING RESEARCH METHODOLOGY – 3rd Annual Conference of Doctoral Candidates of the Faculty of Education & National FinEd Conference, Nov. 16, 2016, University of Turku

The Faculty of Education, University of Turku is organizing its third Annual Conference of Doctoral candidates on November 16th, 2016. This year, the conference is jointly organised by the Faculty of Education and FinEd, The Finnish Multidisciplinary Doctoral Training Network on Educational Sciences.

The conference is intended for doctoral candidates in all stages of dissertation work within the national FinEd Network of the universities of Eastern Finland, Jyväskylä, Lapland, Tampere, Turku, Oulu and Åbo Akademi. The overall aim of the conference is to offer new insights on methodological thinking and to offer a forum for local and national networking in the field of education. The language of the conference is English.

The doctoral candidates of the Faculty of Education will get 2 credits into the study record from active participation in the conference (poster presentation and participation in a workshop). The members of the FinEd Network from other universities will get a certificate of their participation on demand.

Vuoden 2016 FinEd-vuosiseminaari järjestettiin 25.-26.5.2016 Kulttuurikeskus Sofiassa Helsingissä. Seminaarin teemana oli "Scientific Communication and Publishing in National and International Journals – Opening seminar of the FinEd Network". Seminaariin osallistui kaikista FinEd-jäsenyliopistoista sekä Helsingin yliopistosta yhteensä 49 tohtorikoulutettavaa ja 11 ohjaajaa.  

 

Vuoden 2015 FinEd/KASVA-vuosiseminaari järjestettiin 9.-10.6.2015 Rymättylän Herrankukkarossa. Seminaarin teemana oli "Transformations of the Governance of Education in Europe – Koulutuksen hallinnan muutokset Euroopassa". Seminaariin osallistui eri yliopistoista 50 tohtorikoulutettavaa ja 16 ohjaajaa.


Vuoden 2014  KASVA-vuosiseminaari järjestettiin 20.-21.5. Kulttuurikeskus Sofiassa Helsingissä. Seminaarin teemana oli "”Theory and Practice in Educational Research – Teoria ja käytäntö kasvatustieteellisessä tutkimuksessa”. Seminaariin osallistui eri yliopistoista noin 35 tohtorikoulutettavaa ja 15 ohjaajaa.


Vuoden 2013 KASVA-vuosiseminaari järjestettiin Helsingissä, Kulttuurikeskus Sofiassa. Seminaarin teemana oli "Analyzing and Interpreting Data - Aineistojen analyysi ja tulkinta". Seminaariin osallistui eri yliopistoista yhteensä noin 50 tohtorikoulutettavaa ja 15 ohjaajaa.
