Dress regulations for degree ceremonies
Sword Sharpening Display
- Ladies: Semi-formal dress (colour of the dress can be chosen freely)
- Gentlemen: Dark suit=lounge suit
Conferment Ceremony
- Doctor (lady): Long black gown with long sleeves, black gloves, black shoes, no handbag*)
- Doctor (man): Evening dress (white tie), black waistcoat, white gloves, no handkerchief, no patent-leather shoes*)
- Doctor´s escort: Evening dress as for Doctor (man) or dark suit
- Doctor´s lady: Dark afternoon dress (long or short), no hat
Decorations to be worn by participant in Academic Procession
Banquet
- Doctor (lady): Long black gown, doctor´s hat, sword
- Doctor (man): Evening dress (white tie), white waistcoat, white handkerchief**), doctor´s hat, sword
- Doctor´s escort: Evening dress, white waistcoat, white handkerchief**)
- Doctor´s lady: Long evening gown, preferrably not black
Decorations to be worn in the Banquet Hall.
Boat Trip
- Casual wear
*) Doctor´s hat and sword will be delivered to the University before the event.
**) If there are no decorations.
