Therefore it is essential that you provide a programme specific motivation letter for each university you are applying for. Please explain how your mobility links with the theme of BMU - Mobilities for Innovation and Development. Don't forget to mention your research interests, the topic of your Bachelor's or Master's thesis, and other academic details.

The maximum length of the letter is 5000 characters. Interests and experiences abroad (relevant for the grant period) can be added in your CV.

If you are applying for doctoral, postdoctorate or academic staff exchanges, please explain also how your assignment will add value to your ongoing local interests and also those in your Home and Host Universities. Remember to also explain your planned objectives and expected results. Explain in the Motivation Letter whether you are planning to take courses towards your doctoral dissertation at your home university, or to take a whole doctoral degree at the host university, and whether your exchange is more practically oriented, mainly research work or teaching.

The Motivation Letter must be written in English.
