Triple I - Integration, Institutions, Interaction

"Quality in Mobility"

Triple I Consortium has run four consequtive mobility schemes since 2008. In total, Triple I has awarded almost 700 mobility grants to Russian and European students and researchers. The mobility scheme consists of mobilities in undergraduate, master, doctorate, post-doctorate and staff levels. In addition to Partner University students and staff, also other Russian nationals are awarded.

The mobility flows promote multilateral cooperation between partners. The students and staff in host and home universities benefit from the mobility scheme as they come into contact with people from other linguistic and cultural environment. Through the mobility scheme the society is enriched by open-minded and internationally experienced academics and students. This will also increase links between Europe and Russia in all spheres of society thus contributing to cultural dialogue and mutual understanding.

Experiences of individual grantees contribute to institutional development: host universities benefit academically from exchange of experience and good practices in pedagogy and research. Triple I aims at the development of joint research projects and promotes exchange of experience in educational methods and practices. Organising individual mobilities enhances multilateral cooperation in university administration which helps disseminate the outcomes in a sustainable way. This includes development of mobility administration and utilising ECTS, in particular. The aim is also to develop recognition of studies and qualifications, especially in those Russian universities not already using ECTS in full scale.

The representatives of the Triple I partner universities are working together to improve international cooperation.
