Sightseeing tours in Turku

The University of Turku is arranging guided tours in following important sites in Turku: Turku  Castle, Turku Cathedral, Turku Art Museum, Sibelius Museum, and  Luostarinmäki Handicrafts Museum in spring 2010. At each museum the museum's own guide will take the group around.

The tours in the Cathedral are on following Thursdays starting at 16.00

  • February 25
  • March 4
  • April 15

Meeting point: the porch of the church.
The tour takes ca. 1,5 hours.

The visits to the Turku Castle are on following Saturdays starting at 12.15

  • March 13
  • April 10
  • April 24

Meeting poinr: ticket counter inside the castle.
The tour takes ca. 1,5 hours.

The guided tour to the Turku Art Museum on Puolala Hill is on Thursday, March 18, starting at 16.00.

Meeting point: in the entrance hall inside the museum.
The tour will take ca. 1,5 hours.

The guided tour to the Sibelius Museum is on Saturday, March 20, starting at 12.00.

Meeting point: in the entrance hall inside the museum.
The tour will take ca. 1,5 hours.

The guided tour to the Luostarinmäki Handicrafts Museum is on Saturday, March 27,  starting at 12.00.

Meeting point: ticket counter at the gate.
The tour takes ca. 1,5 hours.

Notice that Turku Art Museum has free entrance on Fridays 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.
