Aboagora offers a forum for researchers, artists and the public to establish new dialogues and discover new forms of collaboration.

Aboagora 2023 "Void" will discuss both literal and metaphorical voids around us and within us. The theme will be explored from the viewpoints of performance arts, sound art and music, religious studies, history, natural sciences and technology (among others), and the topics range from artificial intelligence and creativity to fascism’s affective heritage in Finnish culture. The keynote speakers are Prof. Karen Barad (University of California at Santa Cruz), Prof. Dolly Jørgensen (University of Stavanger) and Prof. Hans Ruin (Södertörn University).

Aboagora is a joint effort by the University of Turku, Åbo Akademi University, the Åbo Akademi University Foundation and the Arts Academy of Turku University of Applied Sciences.
