The panel discussion considers the role of education as a pathway to inclusion.

The current government program emphasises the importance of education as a solution to various problems and a response to many societal challenges. The panelists in the ‘On the right track - Education for Inclusion’ panel also considered the opportunities for the school to meet the growing expectations of society, the labor market, technology and a wide range of other factors.

One particularly much debated reform is the extension of compulsory education. Olli-Pekka Heinonen, Director General of the Finnish National Agency for Education, Tero Järvinen, Professor of Education, Teija Koskela, University Researcher at the Department of Teacher Education, Satu Kekki, Rector at the the Teacher Training School of Turku, and high school student Daria Vorobyeva and Postdoctoral Researcher at the Turku Institute for Advanced Studies (TIAS) collegium Jenni Tikkanen.
