At the heart of Smart Health is delivering the right treatment to the right patient at the right time. But what are the prerequisites and the benefits to the patients, the European healthcare systems and societies?

We welcome you to join Smart Health for Europe to explore the future health ecosystems and network with Smart Health stakeholders from start-ups to healthcare decision makers, investors and more.

Among the speakers are Professor Hartwig Huland from Martini-Klinik, discussing value based healthcare and patient outcome, and Knut Mager, the Chairman of the Data Protection working group of European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) who presents how GDPR could boost European research and innovation. Petri Nikkilä, EVP Chief Commercial and Digital Officer of Nordea, offers a different point of view - what can we learn from banking sector? The other speakers cover themes such as roadmap of Smart Health, data-driven medicine and healthcare management, and new concepts on health sector. And what is the significance to European societies?

The Finnish EU Presidency 2019 is the time to start creation of a Smart Health roadmap. This is a good time to discuss the combination of legislation, focus on health sector growth, research and development and start-ups.

Smart Health for Europe is organized by Novartis Finland Oy, University of Turku, University of Eastern Finland, Business Finland and Suomen itsenäisyyden juhlarahasto Sitra.
