The Opening Ceremony

The Opening Ceremony will be organised as a virtual event starting at 2.15pm. The Opening Ceremony can also be watched as a recording at a later point i??n time.
Rector Jukka Kola will give a speech at the Opening Ceremony. Chair of the Executive Board of the Student Union Aliisa Wahlsten and representative of the staff organisations, President of the Finnish Union of University Researchers and Teachers Maija S. Peltola will also present their greetings. Also, the commemorative medals of the University of Turku and the Turku Finnish University Society's awards for distinguished dissertations will be presented at the Ceremony. A cappella group Aura will perform at the Opening Ceremony.
