Visiting Professor Marcelo Parreira do Amaral - European Research: some personal remarks on biding and coordinating EU-funded projects
Time

Presentation followed with a discussion round:
Research funding from the European Union has become a highly competed source of funds for education research. Universities across the continent have adapted and professionalized their efforts to capture more resources from European Programmes. Also, there are quite a few misconceptions about what EU-funded research projects work and even there is some prejudice about tapping on these sources for research in Social Sciences and Humanities.
In this presentation, I offer some - quite personal - remarks and observations on biding and coordinating EU-funded projects in the field of education. Ill focus on issues such as putting a Consortium together, finding relevant information on calls, etc., but I will also share some experience in managing large research Consortia. There will be plenty of opportunities for participants to discuss their own questions.
