The University of Turku has appointed Antti Fredriksson as Associate Professor as of 1 January 2026. Fredriksson brings to his role extensive experience in auditing and corporate financial reporting, combining practical expertise with academic research.
Fredriksson has held a range of teaching and research positions and has served as a member of the Auditing Board of the Finnish Patent and Registration Office. His work has focused in particular on audit quality, corporate financial reporting practices, and the assessment of financial risks. His professional experience provides a valuable perspective in teaching and helps students better understand the requirements and challenges of the field.
In his role as Associate Professor and professor-in-charge for the subject area, Fredriksson will be responsible for developing research and teaching in financial reporting and auditing, as well as contributing to the development of teaching in accounting and finance courses. His goal is to promote research with practical relevance and to strengthen students’ capabilities to work as experts in a rapidly changing business environment.
