Apply for a "presidential research home" for the year 2022

The University of Turku is opening for application access to a research residence renovated from the birthplace of former Finnish President Mauno Koivisto (”Manun kammari”, "Manu's chambers"). The application period ends on 2 December 2021 at 15.45.

The residence at Piispankatu 4 is meant for full-time doctoral students at the faculty of social sciences (or research area of social sciences) of the University of Turku, and of social sciences at Åbo Akademi University. The residence will be available for one year (until the end of 2022) with the possibility of extension on special grounds by application. Access to the residence is free of charge and begins in January 1, 2022. The researcher may also use the residence as a personal apartment. The application documents which must include a cv, research plan, statement by the research supervisor and inter alia the reasoning for the usage and the requested time at the residence must be delivered to the faculty of social sciences via webropol form. The decision on the residence occupant is made by the faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Turku.
