Blasting at Construction Site Broke Windows in Feeniks Library

Quarrying blast at the construction site in the adjacent lot to the Feeniks Library of the University of Turku broke windows at the Library on Thursday morning, 20 December.
No physical injuries were caused by the broken windows. The Library was closed for customers when the incident occurred.
The damage is currently being assessed and the Feeniks Library will be closed during the cleaning and repairs. More information about the re-opening during the day on the Library web pages.
Rock is being quarried with blastings on the Skansa construction site for a new building at the adjacent lot.
