Do you like urban wildlife? Take part in an online survey

14.11.2024

What do you think about wildlife in our cities? Help us answer this question by taking part in a short, anonymous online questionnaire!

The questionnaire is part of a doctoral research on medium-sized carnivores living in urban areas in Southwest Finland: Red fox, European badger and raccoon dog.

The aim of the study is to find out how the public perceives these animals and how the urban environment affects their behaviour or how they become established as urban animals. To this end, the study carried out animal behaviour tests in private gardens this summer and is now conducting an online survey to find out how city dwellers feel about wild animals in urban environments.

The survey can be answered by anyone over the age of 18 living in Finland. Answer the survey using the link below!

New behavioural experiments in gardens will be carried out again next summer. If you would like to take part and volunteer your garden for next summer's experiments, please contact Mélissa Gagnière for more information.
