Exposures to Coronavirus Investigated in Student Community

There have been several coronavirus infections and suspected exposures among students in Turku.

​In the last few days, coronavirus infections have been confirmed among students at the higher education institutions in Turku. The possible exposures are investigated by the authorities responsible for communicable diseases and they will contact those who have been exposed to the virus.

Especially those who have participated in student events and meetings in Turku are requested to monitor their health closely and take a coronavirus test if they have even mild symptoms of the disease.

The authorities responsible for communicable diseases urge student organisations to restrict the organisation of events.

You can check your symptoms in the Omaolo online service or contact the health service of your home municipality. Those living in Turku can contact the coronavirus helpline. (tel. +358 2 266 2714, Mon-Fri between 8am–3pm and Sat–Sun between 9–11am). People living outside Turku can contact the health service of their municipality.

The University of Turku follows the situation and updates its instructions on the coronavirus situation if necessary.
