Faculty of Medicine Switches Entirely to Remote Teaching due to Coronavirus Infections

17.09.2020

Coronavirus infections have been confirmed among the students of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Turku. To ensure safety, the Faculty switches entirely to remote teaching.

The teaching of the Faculty of Medicine in the hospitals has been suspended and teaching is organised with remote connections until 1 October 2020.

Students’ coronavirus infections have been mainly traced to meetings on leisure time.

The authorities responsible for communicable diseases are tracing the possible exposures, and testing for the coronavirus is active. The University works in close collaboration with the health officials.
