Grant for Scientific Research in Hydrogeography (application period from 9th December to 20th December)

The Department of Geography and Geology announces a grant for scientific research as part of the DIWA Flagship initiative.

The applicant must have a solid background in hydrogeography and hydroinformatics. Experience in fluvial geomorphology is also required. The applicant must hold a doctoral degree in geography or geology.

The grant will be awarded for the period of January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025.

The grant will be paid monthly, with a monthly amount of €2,600. Part-time disbursement is also possible, e.g., for 50% of the working time. The amount remains the same each month for the duration of the grant. The recipient of the grant must not be employed by the University of Turku.

The Head of the Department of Geography and Geology, Petteri Alho, will make the decision on the grant recipient. The decision will be announced by the end of December.

The application period is from December 9, 2024, to December 20, 2024.
