Igor Kalinic nominated as Senior Fellow in International Business

Igor Kalinic

Igor Kalinic has more than 20 years of practical experience, academic knowledge, and policy-making expertise in international business with focus on international entrepreneurship, SMEs and sustainable economy. His research interests are primarily focused on decision-making under uncertainty, strategic decisions and social entrepreneurship.

Previously, he worked as assistant professor at University of Groningen and as Marie Curie research fellow at Leeds University Business School. He has earned his PhD from University of Padova with research visits to King’s College London and Darden School of Business (University of Virginia). Further, he has been a visited scholar in more than 10 faculties around the globe and has had an active collaborations with a number of top scholars in the fields of international business and entrepreneurship.

Since 2018, he has been working at the Executive Agency for Small-Medium Enterprises (EASME) at the European Commission. He manages a sector of 15 staff focused on executing more than 130 projects for a value of more than 100M€. The projects aim at improving the competitiveness and internationalization of the SMEs. Previously, he worked as policy officer at the DG for Industry and Entrepreneurship.
