Large outage in university IT services 18 May

During scheduled maintenance a network device malfunction occurred, which rendered most University IT services, such as websites, systems and email unavailable 18 May at 17-20 pm.
The outage also caused many mobile devices to prompt for the UTU password, but no password seemed valid. The problem was a result of the outage and no user information or passwords have been compromised.
