Pop up corona vaccinations for students

02.08.2021

Young adults and students are offered corona vaccinations without an appointment in weeks 31–32 in Turku.

Young adults (16–29-year-olds) and students are offered corona vaccinations without an appointment in weeks 31–32 in Turku. Vaccinations are available for the youth and young adults resident in Turku, as well as students that come to Turku from other localities. Pop-up vaccination events are intended for those in need of their first vaccination.

Second doses of the vaccine will likely be given on the 30–31/10/2021 weekend. More information on these will be given on a later date.

Please remember to use a mask and mind the safety gap while waiting for the vaccination

The vaccine used in the pop-up events is BioNTech-Pfizer Comirnaty.

Please be prepared to wait for your turn. In addition, after the vaccination, an observation period of 15–30 minutes at the site of the vaccination is recommended. While waiting and during the vaccination, safety protocol must be observed: safety gaps are maintained, as far as possible, and a mask must be used. When you come get vaccinated, bring proof of identity and, preferably, your own mask. If needed, masks are available also at the sites of vaccination. Please note that you are not allowed to come get vaccinated if you have flu symptoms.

If you come to a pop-up vaccination event, and you already have an appointment elsewhere, for example in Turku Fair Center (Messukeskus) or Kontti, please cancel your appointment via electronic health services (turku.fi/eterveyspalvelut) or the corona vaccination helpline (tel. 02 266 0159). Likewise, if you have signed up for the vaccination waiting list in otanrokotteen.turku.fi but have not yet received an appointment, go remove your registration. This way we can avoid needless appointments and can offer your vaccination appointment to someone else that needs it.
