Publish OA Free of Charge in the Journals of Radiological Society of North America

Turku University Library has made with Radiological Society of North America an agreement that covers reading access and Open Access publishing without extra charge for the personnel and students of University of Turku in the following journals: Radiology, Radiology: Artificial Intelligence, Radiology: Cardiothoracic Imaging and Radiology: Imaging Cancer. In addition to this, there is reading access to the journal Radiographics. Of the journals included in the agreement, Radiology is presently on Publication Forum's classification level 3 and Radiology: Artificial Intelligence on level 1.  

The agreement covers in addition to article processing charges all other possible article charges such as color-in-print. The acceptable article types are Original Research, Technical Developments, Erratum, Reviews and Data Resources. License options are CC-BY and CC-BY-SA.

The accepted authors are recognized by affiliation as stated in the article to be published, by e-mail domain (utu.fi or tyks.fi) or by a persistent identifier (such as RingGold or ORCID). In the event, that an eligible author is not identified on acceptance and the article is discovered not to have been published OA, the publisher will convert it to an OA article. If an eligible author is discovered to have paid an Article Processing Charge, it will be refunded later.  

The right to publish OA free of charge the rest of the year 2023 was achieved by paying merely the subscription costs of the journals. It is possible to continue the agreement after the first year by paying an additional sum also for OA publishing.
