Remote Work Recommendation due to Coronavirus Likely to End on 28 February

17.02.2022

The University of Turku returns to the regular remote work practices on 1 March 2022, if the national recommendation on remote work ends on 28 February.

The Finnish Government plans that the national recommendation on remote work ends on 28 February. The coronavirus coordination groups of Southwest Finland and Satakunta have linked the regional remote work recommendations to that of the Government.

Therefore, if the national recommendation is not extended, the University of Turku returns to regular remote work practices on 1 March. If there are changes to this schedule, the University will notify the personnel.

The University’s guideline on remote work was updated in October 2021. The maximum amount of remote work of the entire working time is 80 percent. Regular remote work is agreed upon between the supervisor and the employee by following the guideline for remote work and the shared rules agreed on in the unit.

The University's instructions on safety measures are still observed closely in the University’s facilities. Masks are used in the University’s facilities. Masks are always used unless the person is alone in the space or close contacts have been prevented with special arrangements.
