Researchers Connect Across Faculties at TeamUp event on Cultural Memory and Social Change

08.10.2025

On 29 September, the multidisciplinary theme ‘Cultural Memory and Social Change’ hosted a TeamUp event that brought together researchers from different faculties who shared common research interests.

The aim of the event was to promote and enable multidisciplinary encounters and project ideas. Around forty interested participants from different disciplines attended the event.

The TeamUp event started with a brief introduction to the theme. This was followed by presentations in which the speakers shared experiences of multidisciplinary teamworking and talked about upcoming European and Finnish funding possibilities. The keynote speech was given by Dr Jenni Santaharju. After the presentations, the participants had the opportunity to learn about current research topics at a poster exhibition and to network with new colleagues.

‘This was a wonderful opportunity for our researchers to meet new people from other faculties and come together. We had a lively meeting with lots of fresh ideas for new projects,’ says Professor Charlotta Wolff, leader of the multidisciplinary theme Cultural Memory and Social Change.

The multidisciplinary theme ‘Cultural Memory and Social Change’ continues its active work and welcomes everyone interested in the topic to join.

The next event will be a thematic seminar on 1 December 2025, and registration will open soon on the theme's website.
