The University’s coronavirus management team has decided that the doctoral dissertation defences are opened to the public starting from 25 October 2021. In addition, other public events can again be organised at the University, but the facilities are not rented to external parties for the time being. The coronavirus management team recommends that returning to work on campus is staggered when possible. At the moment, the green light stage of the traffic light model is in force on all the University’s campuses.

The new guideline for remote work comes into force at the University on 25 October. The coronavirus management team of the University of Turku recommends that during the first few weeks, remote work is utilised to avoid close contacts and in facility arrangements, for example, through staggering work days on campus and the use of joint facilities. During this time, the units have to assess the safety measures required by the current epidemic situation.

However, contact teaching is organised normally starting from the beginning of the second period on 25 October, and the necessary services for teaching are provided on campus.

Units and working groups decide on meeting practices. Meetings organised in person must also have the option to participate remotely.
