Turku Collegium for Science, Medicine and Technology (TCSMT) is a multidisciplinary and interactive research community for top researchers in the early stages of their careers. At TCSMT, a maximum of four postdoctoral positions and four collegium researcher positions are now open.

The University of Turku has two research collegia which promote high quality research and support the career development of young researchers aiming for independent careers: Turku Institute for Advanced Studies (TIAS) and Turku Collegium for Science, Medicine and Technology (TCSMT). TCSMT is now hiring talented postdoctoral and collegium researchers.

“It is important for the University to be able to attract promising top researchers from abroad. The research collegia are an important recruitment channel for welcoming top foreign and returning Finnish researchers to the University of Turku. We invest in supporting professional research career and high-level research work”, says the Chair of the TCSMT Board, Professor Jyrki Heino.

“We encourage motivated and courageous early stage researchers to apply to join us. The members of the board of the collegium also offer support and advice for career development “, emphasises Heino.

In the selection process, attention is paid to the applicant’s international research experience as well as achieved attainments. A successful candidate should have a connection to research conducted at the University of Turku. Candidates must be able to join an existing research group or work under the supervision of a senior researcher at the University of Turku.
