In the 2022 QS World University Rankings by Subject, the University of Turku was among the best 500 in the world in four broad subject areas and in 13 disciplines.
The highest ranked disciplines of the University of Turku were nursing science (ranked 28th), dentistry (ranked in the category 51–70), and education (ranked 62nd). Education was ranked among the top 100 for the first time ever. The education discipline of the University of Turku improved its ranking the most among the Finnish universities’ different disciplines evaluated in the ranking. The dentistry discipline of the University of Turku also significantly improved its ranking among the top universities of the world.
